Here's our deal, we're not in the mood to write a paragraph about us, so we'd prefer to list in random / bullet point form. We apologize for any redundancies that may have been published about us already on the main page of this website.

- We are a New York City based independent record label located in lower Manhattan -- two blocks from the mighty Hudson River, in Greenwich Village.

- We like the relationship between a Camera's ability to capture a moment in time through an image; and a tape-machines ability to capture a bands performance through an audio recording. That's why we named the label Camera. we also think it has a nice 'ring' to it.

- Our goal is to bring you artists that we deeply believe in, musical recordings that have inspired and seduced us & songs that we have fallen in love with....

- We promise to work really hard at getting our artists' records out to music enthusiasts around the world.

- We want Camera's recordings to endure.

- All of us at Camera have over 10 years of experience working records. We've all worked at major labels, major distributors, and funny indies that try and compete with majors.

- We've taken notice of an incredibly vibrant independent music scene happening around the world, and are super excited about joining in and competing.

- We love watching the current shift in the record business; b/c the major label system is so jammed up; we see incredible opportunities and empowerment for independent record labels that know and truly understand their audiences, how to superserve & stimulate their customers, and find new fans through different and creative channels.
